Description: Vintage Herend Blue Garland Tea Cup And Saucer 1960's-1970's. Lovely Herend tea cup and saucer in the Blue Garland Pattern. On a white ground a hand painted garland of blue cornflowers with a green vine and leaves wrap around a magenta stripe. Several scattered flowers below this . Inside the cup are some tiny leaves in green. There is a band of basket weave in relief below the rim and beneath the painted decoration. This is repeated on the saucer. The scalloped rim of the cup and saucer and cup foot are trimmed in gold gilt. The cup handle has more gilt decoration. Looks to have only been displayed. Marked on the reverse of the cup in blue the Herend shield, Herend Hvngary, HEREND, Handpainted, 734 and 103 in magenta. On the reverse of the saucer in blue the Herend shield, Handpainted, 734/PBG, impressed HEREND 34, and 26. Will display beautifully.. All measurements are approximate: Cup measures 4 1/4" in diameter x 2" tall.Saucer measures 5 3/4" in diameter. Excellent vintage condition to commensurate with age and use. No issues.
