Description: Here is a very nice hollow body psaltery with case and bow. This was made by Orchard Springs Instrument Co., of Fancy Gap VA. The bow needs horsehair strings. The psaltery has one broken wire string but there is an extra new string included. See photos for details. Instrument is about 21 inches long and nearly 8 inches wide. There is a very slight crack in the middle of the back of the instrument that should not affect playing quality. Hollow body psalteries provide for more resonance and tonal quality than solid body versions. A tuning tool is included, and the bow has a peg for adjusting the tension on the horsehair. Prompt shipping, carefully packed in a padded box, with tracking info provided.
