Description: size: 5 1/4" wide x 5 1/4" deep x 2 1/8" tallweight: 14 oz. This particular piece is a rounded bowl with folded over edges. It kind of looks like an ashtray, but there are no places for a cigarette or cigar to sit without falling off. The pottery has no major flaws. It does have some surface marks and some fleabites. The underside has some minor wear expected for it's age. Another interesting thing is the partial label on the bottom, from the Painted Desert Inn in Holbrook, Arizona. The Fred Harvey company operated the inn from 1947-1963, which matches up with how old the label looks. I'm assuming this would have been sold in the gift shop, but I don't know for sure. My research failed to find any other objects with labels to compare.
