Very rare Jaeger-LeCoultre Pocket Watch Navigators caliber 467/2 - approx. 51mm chrome on brass case - same supplied to the Royal Air Force and the British Army - read below! Gilded movement: caliber 467/2 - 15 jewels - (the caliber number of 467/2 stamped at the side of the balance). Champagne colored dial, blue hands. Lid with serial number 403151 - ORIGINAL (these military models did not contain the classic Jaeger Lecoultre signature - search online). The Vallée de Joux in Switzerland has traditionally been manufacturing watches for military purposes since the beginning. During the Second World War, Jaeger-LeCoultre supplied the Allied Forces with pilot watches such as the Mark XI. 2009 and watches for the Navy in calibre 162. They also supplied the British Army with pocket watches in calibre 467, with the movement that powers this model available for sale. During the Second World War, Jaeger-LeCoultre also created the first pilot watches Mark VIIA and the "Weems". After the Second World War, the Royal Air Force had the Mark XI "Navigator" manufactured by Jaeger LeCoultre. From 1949 onwards, the Mark XI was supplied to the Royal Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force. Today, military watches are extremely important among collectors.
