Description: RARE vintage 1960's Japanese Asahi Sonopress "Monthly Asahi Sonorama" news magazine! This extremely obscure publication is the first venture of Asahi Shimbun News into the world of records! Asahi Sonorama is known for publishing of several character and TV show flexi-discs in the 1960's and 1970's, however the company originally published flexidiscs to accompany "Monthly Asahi Sonorama" a news magazine with a focus on capturing the audio of current events. The overly ambitious publication floundered, resulting in Asahi Sonorama shifting their focus to anime and TV licenses. The magazine includes two 7" flexidisc sono sheets, with both the records and magazines focusing on Israel, Japanese economist Shinzo Koizumi, the arrival of the Beatles in Japan, as well as the Vietnam War. Overall a fantastic piece of history to add to any vintage record collection! PLEASE SEE PHOTOS FOR DETAILS. Check our other auctions for similar items & to save on shipping.
