Vintage Kaypro 2/2X Portable Computer With Keyboard and Juki 6100 Printer CIB

Description: Kaypro 2X The CPU powers on and prompts to insert a disk into drive A. During my testing, the screen displayed scrambled characters a couple of times (see photos). Occasionally the screen would stay blank and I would have to power down and reboot for it to show up. My research suggests this is likely due to incorrect voltages powering the screen and that replacing the capacitors in the power supply might fix the problem. All of the original software is included; however, I could not get anything to boot. The CP/M disk started to boot but never seemed to finish. I would guess that the disks have gone bad, but the drive itself might be the culprit. Maybe a simple head cleaning would help, but also maybe the same power supply issue is to blame. The cosmetic condition is extremely good with a couple of exceptions: A few of the external screw heads on the sides have a bit of oxidation. There are also a couple of small spots of oxidation on the steel portion of the CRT tube frame. This does not have any affect on function. There is no oxidation apparent on any of the electronics (see photos). There are 4 screws missing from the keyboard assembly. These 4 screws hold the silver part of the keyboard into the blue bottom portion. All of the original documentation and packaging is included. The external boxes are in rough shape, however, with wear and tear as well as some writing and shipping stickers. Shipping dimensions are 23" x 21" x 17" and weighs 52 pounds. KayPro Juki 6100 Letter-Quality Printer The printer is also in good cosmetic condition with what appears to be a bit of tape residue on the front. The unit powers on and will perform the self-test routine. All of the printed characters appear to be in good condition. There isn't much ribbon remaining in the cartridge. I have not attached this printer to the CPU to test as I cannot get any of the software to boot. Includes a power cable, original parallel cable, and original packaging. There is no documentation included for the printer. Shipping dimensions are 24" x 20" x 10" and the weight is approximately 30 pounds. Everything is sold AS IS.
