Description: Rare Vintage Kristalunie Maastrict Studio, Netherlands, Art Glass Bud Vase Hand-Designed and Artist Signed by MLHM Verboeket (1922-2015) This heavy paper-weight-quality bud vase is 9 inches tall and 2.25 inches wide. Beautifully sculpted in a flowing tripod-shape, it displays a different view from each angle. The sheared and polished bottom is machine etched: "MLHM Verboeket" with the company name, "Maasricht." Note: MLHM (Max) Verboeket was a graduate of the Maastricht School of Industrial Design. In 1954, he assumed the position of Chief Designer at the Kristalunie from W.J. Rozendall. Known for his innovative design of heavy glass vases, he incorporated hand-applied areas or strings of color inspired by the Murano glass period. Before 1964, the bases of his work were often machine engraved with his signature -- such as is visible on this hard-to-find piece..
