Description: This is a handsome, classic desk clock patterned after the carriage clock design. It is finished in brass and has a glass panel in front of the face. The face is analog with roman numerals. It was made by La Cloche with a quartz-battery movement in West Germany. Since it was made in West Germany, that means it was made before 1989 (true vintage item). The condition is quite good -- I've installed a new battery and it's keeping good time. But, there is some damage / oxidation to the brass finish. It is on the top, the edging along the bottom, inside the clock case with the battery, and inside the clock case between the glass and the clock face. The handle on top is also missing some of the brass finish. All this damage is quite easy to see on close examination -- but a couple feet away, it is not that noticeable.
