Artists Bio: Accomplished painter and sculptor Frank Trapp earned his B.A. at the Carnegie Institute of Technology and his graduate degrees from Harvard University. He taught at Williams College and retired at Amherst College in 1992. In addition to teaching at Amherst, he served as the Director of the Mead Art Museum for 20 years. He was especially known for his vibrant paintings of landscapes in Pennsylvania and Massachusetts. A respected scholar, he produced several books including Peter Blume (1987), The Grand Tradition: British Art from Amherst College (1988), and The Attainment of Delacroix (1971). CONDITION - marks to the upper edges of painting; wear to the edges; chipping to the corners. Unlikely to show once framed.
