Leather Man Ltd. has been making belts in a small factory in New England for over half a century. We have learned that there are certain rules to follow in making a quality belt. Use only the best components: In our case the brass is from the same foundry that supplies the buckles to Vuitton, Coach and Dooney. It is all cast, hand polished to a low luster and lacquered. It is fully in compliance with California Proposition 65. The leather is vegetable tanned, top grain, shoulder leather with an aniline dye. It is produced by North Americas largest tannery. All ribbons are designed by us and sometimes have taken five or six iterations to get exactly the effect we want. The final component, workmanship is the most important.
