Description: Let's visit the HARLEY-DAVIDSON Factory Very rare booklet. Booklet does not have a date. I've seen other booklets similar to this one, with a date of 1977 on the back cover for Enthusiast Magazine advertisement. Enthusiast Magazine was published from 1916 to 2008. This booklet has been in storage, in the home, for decades. The most recent Harley pictured in the booklet is 1938 (86 years ago) photo 3, in the Historical Exhibit, right front motorcycle. Includes history of the Harley from 1903 to 1938. Very interesting rare Harley factory visit booklet, of the Harley headquarters in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, with black & white photos and illustrations. Every page has at least one photo. Many pages have 2-3 photos each. Front and back covers, photos 1 & 2. Includes the following topics: The little shed, in 1903, the first Harley was built. Photo 5. The Enthusiast magazine ad on back cover. Photo 2. Historical Exhibit, photo 3. Sidecar and Servi-Car department, photo 4. Tool Department, photo 5. Torture Chamber, photo 6. Gear Shapers & Gear Department, photo 6. Testing Department Block Testing Roller Bearings Screw Machine Department Oil-Fired Furnace Parts & Accessory Department Enameling Department and more! NUMBER OF PAGES27 pages COVER MATERIALPaper. The cover seems to be the same thickness of paper as the pages inside the booklet. SIZE OF BOOKLET (when closed) 6" x 9" or 15.24 cm x 22.86 cm CONDITIONIt appears this booklet was hardly handled or used. All pages and cover: no underlining, no margin notes or annotations. The majority of the interior corners appear to be cut square. The cover corners are slightly rounded. All pages are present, and tight within the binding of the 2 staples (staples are a silver color). Interior pages are in very good condition, no tears or dog ears, pages have minimal soiling and aging. Cover has wear, soiling spots, scratches, paper chips, some wrinkling near the spine. The cover may have what is referred to as foxing. An age related process on old paper, creating spots. I see many gray spots when I tilt the cover back & forth under the light. These gray spots do not show up so much in my cover photos 1 & 2. Interior pages have some wrinkling near the spine, and pages 2 - 5 have minor soiling, photos 5 & 6. Looks like the minor soiling area from the front cover (I am guessing is oil) spread on to pages 2 - 5. The remainder of the interior pages are in very good condition, slight yellowing, yet for the most part the pages appear white, for example, photo 7. Bottom edge of cover has page separation located at the spine area, of about 1/8" (0.32 cm). Can be seen, photo 3, bottom left of page, near spine. Booklet has a very, very mild, old book scent. Overall, this very interesting Harley Davidson booklet, many decades old, is in very good, well cared for, condition.
