Vintage Lionel 8976 0-6-0 Steam Switcher Locomotive & 2227B tender. Super nice

Description: This one is a recent estate purchase. part of a large Lionel and other Train Collection. Lionel prewar O gauge 8976 Scale 0-6-0 Steam Switcher locomotive with 2227b lighted bell tender. This is in super condition and I would be very happy to have this in a collection. This is the so-called semi scale version 227 which has blind center drivers and does not have scale couplers. It has the electromagnetic box couplers on both ends. Engine runs well both directions but should be cleaned and lubricated for best performance. The tender light and bell are working, bell sticks on occasion, again a need for cleaning. Looking at the lettering on these pieces shows the low mileage use. I have never had one of these with such crisp lettering especially the tender, they are always rubbed, but not this one. Look at pictures, contact me for any other information. This one is the nicest we have had in a while. Sold as found and as pictured, NOTE : Although we tested and it was working here, it is not guaranteed to work , as these are vintage trains 70-90 years old and may have a wire or contact displaced in shipping. If you do not have the experience to trouble shoot minor issues please do not purchase 70-90 year old mechanical items All vintage items require cleaning and lubrication as they most likely sat idle for decades.
