Vintage Lot Of 9 Wishing Star 80s YA Teen Romance Paperbacks HTF 1981-82

Description: Lot of 9 Vintage Wishing Star Teen Romance paperback books dated 1981-1983 This is a very hard to find thematic series. It was a sister series to Wildfire Books and published by Scholastic with some of the same authors but was a shorter series of 28 books. Some of the older books were published by Scholastic in the late 70s and then were incorporated into this series later. The storylines covered the issues of the day that went along with high school and first love, but also took on controversial topics like alcoholism, drug use, pregnancy and mental illness. Some of the stories served as inspiration for the ABC Afterschool TV Specials. Books are in acceptable condition. Some show more wear than others but bindings are intact. These are from my teenage collection from the 80s. Most have my name written inside, and a personal library card pocket inside the back cover that I placed there. Some have scuffing or creasing on the cover, old tape on the spine and some have print transfer on the front cover to the back of the book stored on top of it. These have been in dry storage but there is no musty odour.
