Vintage Mod 1975 SWEET 16 BARBIE #7796 + Bonus Outfit Tank Top + Accessories

Description: Wonderful version of the Barbie Sweet 16 doll to celebrate Barbie's 16th birthday back in 1975! This one came with an extra outfit at the time - a yellow Sweet 16 tank top and denim shorts. I don't have the shorts, but the tank top is here! She's got a fascinating hairstyle. She's in her original dress and has many of her original accessories, but of course isn't perfect after almost 50 years, so please take a look at all of the photos and note the following details:Legs/arms on this doll are notoriously fragile & brittle and should be handled with care. They are known to pop off easily - I will ship her with a clear band around her hips to ensure legs stay on in transit. I cannot guarantee that arms or legs will stay intact, but I didn't have any trouble while photographing her and carefully posing her. She had melting of her hip joints (another common problem with these dolls), and I've trimmed the melted parts off, but you'll still be able to see a little bit of it. Splaying of lower legs so her knees are really close together, but her feet are further apart. Knees bend as expected. She may have a spot or two on hands, torso, etc., but I don't notice anything terribly obvious. Tank top is dingy and needs some stitching at bottom. White Barbie compact doesn't like to stay closed all the way. Original dress is in good shape, but a little dingy at the bust darts.White square toe heels are both marked Taiwan on the bottom. They don't love to stay on her feet, especially at the heels.No nose nips, neck splits, or pin pricks at ears.Hands (which are "Mexico" type hands with a delineation at the wrist) look good, but one seems to have a remnant of nail polish (I don't know if she would have originally had nail paint or not)Feet look great - I don't see any chew marks.Smoke-free home.Let me know if you have any questions or need more photos.
