Description: This bold and colorful oil on heavy paper panel is signed and dated upper left and presents a Cezannesque arrangement of ancient Greek pottery and statuary with an intriguing elevated perspective. Measuring 24 3/4" x 21 3/4" in its original artist-painted deep cove picture frame; 18" x 15" actual, it is stable with expected surface dirt and a fine scratch along the frame line, bottom. The paint is stable and teh artist has signed and dated the reverse of the board as well. Jean lived and painted in Noisy le Sec near Paris for much of the middle to late years of the 20th c.
