Description: This listing is for cool old wood box as shown. Well marked with good hinges and lid stop. No external handles or latches, never was any by the looks of it. Not sure of the wood type, but all is solid wood except the base, which is plywood. Probably from the 40's or 50's. The business is long since gone or has changed names, not sure. I know there was a branch in Seattle, and since I am appx 60 miles from there, it probably came from there. There is some cracking here and there at the finger joints, but the box is still very solid. I'm sure the gaps could be closed up with some judicious use of wood glue and some soft faced clamps. It has stains as you would expect, probably from coffee or ??. Very cool old box, see and enlarge all the pics. Weighs just over 6 pounds as you see it. Thanks for looking.
