What a fun find! This piece can be found as one of the highlighted photos on page 679 of “The Napier Co.” book by Melinda Lewis. The book states that the piece was part of a spring 1992 new campaign titled “Napier Not The Usual You.” This piece would be a wonderful gift for a NAPIER Collector or awesome new addition to your growing collection. Please look at the images to form your own opinion of the item’s condition. To me, it is in excellent vintage condition. Gently worn and well taken care of. Wear consistant with age. There is light discoloration of the gold metal where the links meet and move around as the metal touches the metal. Personally, I don’t think it is that very noticeable. I look at all items carefully and move them around in a way in which you probably wouldn’t when worn. There are also a few tiny dings to the metal on the back of the necklace by the clasp. See pics. Condition: Vintage or preowned jewelry typically shows wear constant with its age. That is why we love it so much. The images are a major part of the description so please zoom in and look closely so there will be no surprises and you know exactly what I am selling and you will be receiving. ** Most of the time, I try not to disturb any vintage/preowned jewelry by cleaning and/or polishing it in order to keep it in its original patina leaving it to your discretion. I do not want to take a chance ruining something. Depending on your own taste, you can either clean or polish it or keep it in its original state. My jewelry comes from estates, individual consignors, individual or bulk purchases, etc. In most cases, I do not know the history of the jewelry nor where it has traveled or been stored.
