Description: For sale is an original launch photo from the estate of Alex McCool Jr., a remarkable, highly decorated man who worked for NASA for more than 40 years (1960-2004) and served as the Space Shuttle Projects Manager and was an expert in rocket propulsion systems, where he contributed to the Saturn Apollo program, the Space Shuttle program and Skylab. This is just one of a large number of historic items I will be listing from this amazing estate. You are getting an original NASA Kodak Paper Photo of the launch of the STS-41 Space Shuttle Discovery. This has the Kennedy Space Center back label, dated Oct. 6, 1990. As part of his photo album, Mr. McCool affixed a small ID label on the photo. This will ship flat with sturdy cardboard packaging.
