Description: Vintage German Nativity Scene - One Of A Kind? - Could Be. This first greeted my 3-1/2 year old eyes back around the time that 1935 was coming to a end.Christmas Day - At the Christmas tree, kneeling on the floor of course, toys waiting there for me to grab them... Good Times! Those were the days. Then this Nativity Scene got myattention. It was probably there for other Christmas... this was the first time I noticed it. I askedand was told yes, that was always part of our Christmas routine. Me being 92 now andthinking back... pretty sure this scene would be around 101 Years Old, or older - Before either World Wars, I'm sure! Mom and Dad had thisNativity Scene before me, their parents? I did have the figures refurbished professionallyyears ago, very good at what he did. They held up well over the years, possibly due for aredo. The animals were not touched up. I've hesitated selling it. However I've got to be realistic. Time to pass it on. I'd like to see it with someone who will appreciate it as I andmy family before me have, to treasure in celebrating Christmas. I've checked here for others, checked prices. Perhaps I'm prejudiced... Saw none that lookedbetter. Best one that I saw had a price of around $195.00. Mine, I feel is worth more, but I thinkI've got the price as low as reasonable. The description?..... As old as it is pretty good condition throughout, hard to explain in wordshence the many pictures. However, obviously some of the figures could use repainting. I'vetouched up a few using those small bottles of paint found in any Hobby Shop. I did install asmall clear Christmas type bulb to illuminate the manager, easily removed if you desire. Size? The containment box is 14"L x 12"W x 6.5"D which is large enough to allow proper protectivepacking of the building area. The scene is large enough to attract the attention of all but notoverly so. A vintage item to gracing your Christmas Tree with pride for years to come.
