Description: Vintage Original 1930's Pompeian Beauty Powder Advertisement Poster Description: For your consideration is this vintage advertisement for Pompeian Beauty Powder. Absolutely an original from the 1930's and not a reproduction. Measures 15 inches by 20 inches tall. Because of the large size, I suspect it may originally have been an advert in a trolley or similar mode of transportation. As seen in the tenth picture, the bottom left hand corner reads: "S-119 Printed in USA" . And as seen in the ninth picture, the bottom right hand corner reads "(C) Pompeian Co." The poster is wrapped around in a plastic film, not saran-wrap. The plastic is torn in each corner with the biggest tear being the top left hand corner. However the top left and top right tears are insignificant because the poster is in an oval silhouette and is entirely unharmed from the top tears. The small tears around the bottom corners have resulted in very minor creases on the advertisement as seen in the ninth and tenth picture. I do not think the poster is taped or glued to the cardboard back. Instead, I think a previous owner wrapped the plastic film around the poster and taped the film to the cardboard as seen in the sixth picture. The new owner can choose to replace it. Ultimately, the advertisement is in excellent condition for its age. As seen in the fourth picture, there are scratch marks around the "Pompeian" name; however only the film appears to be scratched and the poster appears to have been protected and was not scratched. My colleague thinks I shouldn't even mention this because the poster is safe. I strongly encourage viewing the pictures even if they came out a bit dark. I had to take pictures at angles in order to avoid reflection from light sources. I am a little upset at how the pictures came out but the plastic film made it very difficult to capture good pictures that accentuate the advertisement's colors.
