Description: Vintage Abstract Expressionist Painting Signed Heller?. it looks like it is signed Heller, but I can’t be certain as nothing turned up with a quick Google search? I decided to remove the painting from the frame to see if there was any information on the back however, there wasn’t any. It is done on a very thin paper and I’m actually not even sure what medium it is done with? If you scroll through the photos, you’ll see that the artwork definitely has some age to it judging by the toning of the backing and brown lines where the tape was. It appears to have been not totally glued down and is just glued around the edges and could possibly be cut out around the border and laid back down on acid free backing. I decided to put it back in the frame and I secured it with new points. The frame does have some wear around the edges, such as scratches and chips in the wood. When I removed the artwork from the frame, the inside glass had quite a bit of buildup on it so I cleaned it and the image looks great now. Some of the photos show the painting in the frame and the Breiter colorful ones are photos taken when I removed it from the frame. Any information on the artist would certainly be appreciated. It measures approximately 22 x 27” Framed, and the viewable image size is approximately 13 1/2 x 18 1/2”. When I secured the painting back in the frame, it does have a few pieces of the backing floating around the matting. Sold as is so please look at the photos closely. Thanks for your interest.
