This original cartoon on illustration board was created by my father, Robert Chisholm about 1946, a student of Charles Schulz in Minneapolis. About the artist:Robert Chisholm, my father, was a commercial artist, based in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He was a graduate of what is now Minneapolis College of Art and Design (MCAD). In his early years he was a student of Charles Schulz, creator of "Peanuts", and he first learned to create cartoons. In his later career, he worked as a commercial artist and art director for a packaging firm, designing food packaging artwork for General Mills, Totino's Pizza, Schmidt Beer, and many others. His focus was on realism, and highly detailed art with people, remniscent of Schulz and Norman Rockwell.
