Description: This piece does not photograph well because there is too much glare. It is hard to see how beautiful it actually is. The painting is an impressionistic-style branch in beautiful shades of midnight blue and a golden beige. The matte is a light olive green and it all works so well together. It has an understated, Asian style quality to it - very simple and elegant. I cannot make out the artist's last name, but it looks like the first name is "Lee" - I know nothing about the provenance of the art or the artist. I don't know how old this piece is, but estimate the late 1980's - 1990's based on the style and color palette. The medium is watercolor on a textured paper. The matte has an oval cutout and an inner border of navy blue. The frame is gold metal, very in style now. It measures about 8 1/4 inches wide and is 10 1/4 inches tall, portrait configuration, and a nice small size that will work in many spaces. The picture itself is in excellent condition, with no visible stains, tears, or holes. The matte is also clean with no stains, marks, or holes. The metal frame has some age-related wear - scratches and scuffs, consistent with age. The glass is not chipped or cracked and is also in very good condition. The mounting of the picture is is very secure and tight and the hanging bracket and wire are completely intact. Please see photos for more detail.
