Description: Here are , specifically from Southern Illinois ! First is the copper, Peabody Coal Company belt buckle declaring "Helping America Become Energy Independent". This buckle is approximately 3-1/2" wide x 2-1/4" high x 1/8" thick. It is very heavy and rugged and has only been worn on a few rare occasions. Second is the Participation Badge for the UMWA COMPAC 2011 (COMPAC = COAL Miners Political Action Committees) Both of these items were safely stored by my father who worked for Peabody Coal for 35 years. There is no visible wear on the buckle except for a few tiny "dimples" and a bit of oxidation on the copper, The UMWA COMPAC badge also shows only minimal wear and is complete with it's original pin clasp. Both of these Collectable Items were made in the USA !
