Description: This Pigeon Forge Pottery Lidded Crock is signed by the artist and founder Douglas Ferguson. The pottery was opened in 1946 by Doug and his wife Ruth. Mr. Ferguson worked regularly until his retirement in 1998. He died the following year, and the pottery closed in 2000. This beautiful handcrafted crock has an incised wheat sheaf design on the lid. The matte green glaze has a little speckle to it. The piece is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, stains, or crazing. It is incised on the bottom with Pigeon Forge Pottery and D. Ferguson.
