There are two of each design. They are in excellent preowned condition. These placemats are made of a heavily-pressed cork. The top is laminated and so easy to wipe clean. They are large, measuring about 15 3/4" x 11 3/4". Each of these placemats weighs one pound. The four of them in total measure about 3/4" in thickness. So this package will weigh about 4 1/2 pounds, hence the higher shipping fee. Please zoom in the above pictures so that you may more closely determine the condition. They are not new so there are some little marks, scrapes, indentations, etc. which are hardly noticeable. I tried to picture them up closely but the glare on the laminated finish doesn't allow me to get really good pictures. I don't think you will be able to see them in the pictures.
