Description: Vintage Plastirama GI Joe 1983 V1 Destro Complete With/Unpunched Cardback This vintage Plastirama GI Joe 1983 V1 Destro is complete with both of his original accessories, includes its original unpunched cardback, and is in really nice condition! This version of Destro was produced and released in Argentina under license from Hasbro. It has several differences from the regular production Destro figures. The most significant difference is the use of a recolored Duke waist section. This was a strange choice as the torso barely fits into the top of the waist section. Additionally, the vintage Duke waist sections are infamous for easily breaking when changing an O-ring. The Argentinian black versions are no different making them much harder to find in unbroken condition. Plastirama also attempted to fill in the "Made In Hong Kong" stamp in the original moulds. They didn't do a very good job so you can still see a faint outline of the lettering on his backside. Most of the colors on the figure are identical to the American versions with the red paint on the right leg holster being a shade darker. This particular Argentinian V1 Destro is in wonderful condition with none of the typical damage usually found on these variants. The chrome on his head is consistent with no major wear. The red details of his inner collar are undamaged. The red medallion on his chest has a moderate spot in the center. The silver wristbands are in amazing condition with only a couple of tiny spots on the right wristband. The red details on the back of the wrists have light wear on their raised details. The red straps on the front of his right leg have moderate to heavy wear but the holster itself has no playwear and the dark red color is bright and glossy. The black color is consistent throughout the figure with no yellowing or discoloration and the original factory gloss is undamaged. The knee and elbow joints are tight. The shoulder joints are somewhat loose but will remain in almost any position. The neck joint is loose and turns easily. The O-ring is new and the waist joint is firm. The elbows have no cracks or hairlines and the super fragile recolored Duke waist section is unbroken with no cracks or stress marks. The screws are original and rust free. The fragile thumbs and heels have no cracks or stress marks. The footpeg holes are undamaged and fit a stand tightly. The SmallJoes figure stand is not included with the figure. The accessories are original Plastirama and they are original to this set. The weapons case is undamaged with just a bit of light playwear. The interior is clean and the plastic hinge area is unbroken. The pistol is mint with no wear on the grip or stress marks in the barrel. The unpunched card back is beyond rare! It is also original to this set and still has the original bubble. The bubble has been crushed but it's still fully attached to the card along its lower right hand side. The card stock is also very thin. It has some creasing and veining across the top but the card art is completely undamaged. This is just an incredible original set! It has somehow survived for over four decades in beautiful condition. The figure and the accessories are neat variants and the cardback has absolute rarity! This set would be a great addition to any high grade vintage Hasbro/Plastirama GI Joe collection! ThisArgentinian V1 Destro and your purchase both deserve respectful packing. It will be shipped in a box completely protected with bubble wrap and packing peanuts. The cardback and bubble will be carefully bubble wrapped with a cardboard backer.
