Description: This is a lovely and extremely rare to find Vintage Radio Communication Company Button with an image of a Polar Bear and enamel surround, made c1925. It in good condition but does have some light wear commensurate with its age and measures approximately 3cm in diameter. It has a loop to rear for sowing the button on if necessary. Basil Binyon set up the Radio Communication Company Limited c1920 which produced radio equipment and operators for merchant and naval ships. The company developed into a worldwide long-wave communications network in the 1920s and early 1930s. They also made radio sets and components under the trade mark “Polar”, hence the logo on the button.
