Description: A great Private Mailing Card from California titled A Southern California Scene at The South Pasadena Ostrich Farm, California. The card image features Numerous ostrich on the farm. The South Pasadena Ostrich Farm was the first in the United States and opened in 1886. The card is imprinted Authorized by Act of Congress of May 19, 1898. (as stated on the address side of the card.) The card measurements are 3 3/8" x 5 3/8", and the card has not been postmarked. The card is in good condition with nice detail and design. There is a tiny crease in the upper right corner. Back of card has backing missing on left and right sides, which occurred presumably when it was removed from an album.
