Description: Vintage RARE 1979 "The Deck of Cards" art playing cards british artists. Fifty-six contemporary British artists have been especially commissioned to contribute to this unique interpretation of a pack of playing cards. Each card represents the original work of a different artist, together with additional designs for the reverse and for the box. The cards have been printed on superluxe board and have been produced in the traditional old English size. Although some of the artists are better known than others, all have examples of their work in public collections in Britain or abroad. A list of the contributors involved and details of where their work can be seen is printed below. Numbers alongside each collection relate to the numbered alphabetical lists of artists' names that follows." There are no cards missing. The box has very minor wear.
