Description: Vintage 1950's RITZ Gold Tone Metal Hawaiian Islands Compact with Lipstick Holder, Cigarette Case and chain handle. One side of the case says Aloha from Hawaii and depicts all of the major Hawaiian islands and some of the features on the Islands and a surfer on a surf board. There are some scratches on this side of the case. The other side of the case shows an enameled cigarette on a satin finish background. There is some loss of enamel and quite a lot of scratches and a darkened area on this side. There is an attached tube of Helena Rubinstein "Marakesh Wine" red lipstick and some face powder still in the powder case. The top of the lipstick tube is marked "C of the R" and "RITZ Made in the USA" is marked inside the case under the powder puff. A great collectible for those who collect miniature evening compacts and unusual compacts, and collectors of Hawaiian memorabilia. My father and my husbands father brought back many lovely pieces of jewelry, porcelain, clothing, perfumes, and household items to their new and future brides upon their return from Europe after WWII. Many of the items have gone to family, but there are still many items that need a home, and they are listed here. There are also other items, long held family treasures that also need to find new homes, as we have no room in ours for them.
