Impressed with Rookwood logo, dated, "1931," and numbered 6239. I found this historical reference...at the rookwooddatabase/markings... "...some (but not all) pieces produced in 1930 and 1931 bear a special 50-year anniversary supplemental marking consisting of a semicircular set of hash marks, usually incised below the shape number." It was amazing to recognize that this piece was done during the Depression Era and the company was struggling to stay afloat.A beautiful collector's item.Please feel free to ask any questions...
