Description: For your consideration is a nice 19th C hardcover of Kipling's "The Day's Work". 1898 printing, stamped to be from the Stockbridge Library, but no cards or anything else inside it. Written in pencil it's also inscribed to a West Virginia library. No other writing, no missing pages, no bent pages, no significant moisture damage, etc. The binding is very tight, boards are good. Edges are rough as they were from manufacturing from the tradepaper back in the late 1800's, however the top is gold gilt. Similar gold details on the cover and spine. Just the right amount of character to prove it's over 120 years old and not something you just picked up at the Barnes and Noble. A great piece for any shelf.
