Description: This collection piece has been created by the artist to represent a vintage suitcase used by a Pan American Airways passenger during the Golden Era of Flying. The authentic vintage suitcase is a Streamline model manufactured by Samsonite in the late 40's or early 50's. All nine of the Pan American luggage stickers are authentic as are the seven vintage hotel stickers. All have been distressed to replicate repeated usage. Attached to the handle are actual baggage tags from various airports including New York, Athens and Los Angeles. Inside you'll find the artist's signature and notation of bag number 2 of 2. Although two bags were made each is completely unique. You'll also find inside some miscellaneous aviation collectibles and Pan Am passenger tickets. It should be noted that there is a very old water stain on the interior liner but no odor or mold. This will make the perfect gift for an ex-Pan American employee or enthusiast.
