Description: Vintage Scarce 1950s Japan Tin Friction Heavy Duty Trailer Set Complete Shelf BB First let me say in 41 years I have never seen or been able to find a tin friction set this large. Box measures 24" x 18" x 5". The set was produced by SSS of Japan. This is a complete set which includes The car carrier and 4 cars, a double Berkins van trailer with cab and house trailer with car. The car pulling house trailer is missing two hubcaps on one side. I have seen all these pieces individually, but never in a set like this. The person I got this from said they received it in 1958 as a Christmas gift. All the pieces appear to be in excellent condition. The box has been repaired with some inside the lid cardboard and glue. There are some pieces of cardboard missing on the box as well as creases and tears. I hate to use the word rare in anything so I choose to use scarce on it even though I doubt you will ever see another like this. If you collect tin or friction vehicles I am certain this would be one of the highlights of your collection. You are buying what is listed in the title and pictured here.
