Description: VINTAGE SEIKO 6138-0011 AUTOMATIC CHRONOGRAPH WATCHALSO KNOWN AS "UFO" & "YACHTSMAN"FREE SHIPPING!This watch was made in 1972 in Japan (serial no. 241771). It has a black dial with 2 silver sub-dials. The dial indicates that it is water resistant to 70m. (Others have recommended that, due to its age, it should not be placed in water.) When using the timing function, the lower subdial indicates minutes, and the upper subdial indicates the hours.The tachymeter ring around the circumference of the watch is used to measure the hourly speed of a vehicle. The day of the week and the date are located on the right side of the dial. The days can be shown in English or Danish. The second photo shows the Danish abbreviation for Tuesday, Tis. The buttons on the right side are, from top to bottom, Button A, Crown, Button B. Button A is for the stopwatch function. The Crown is for the calendar and to reset the hands. Button B, which seems a bit stiff, is used to return the hands to zero. This is a self-winding watch.This watch measures about 1-3/4" in diameter and it sits about 1/2" above the wrist. It is pre-owned and, as such, has many fine scratches on the case, the crystal, and the band (see photos). At the time this description is being written, the watch is in good working condition, except that the illumination function does not work. Due to its age, we are selling this watch with no guarantee. We have not inspected inside the case, we do not guarantee the inside condition, and we are selling it for repair or parts.
