Description: Description:- Vintage Sheffield 4 Piece Hotelware EPNS Tea Service With Matched Tray Very attractive typical four piece Hotel Ware Art Deco style Tea Service, overall in good condition though there are signs of use as outlined int eh condition report below. The tray is an afterthought as it displays well with the service, but in my judgement was meant for sandwiches or similar; as below it shows heavy signs of use (though no loss of plating), is lightweight and unbranded. Condition:- The tea service is in good used condition, with light scuffs and scratches and some light staining to the interiors of the teapot and Coffee/Hot water pot . The interiors of the milk and sugar are very clean. The matched tray has significant scuffs and light scratches, and a small bump and is very lightweight. There is residual tarnish to polish off on all pieces Maker:- The tea service is stamped EPNS Made In Sheffield England Hard Soldered and both Teapot and Coffee/Hot water stamped 2 pints. The matched tray is unbranded Measures:- Teapot approx 8.5 inches from tip of spout to tail of handle by approx 6 inches in height; stamped to hold 2 pints (not tested) Coffee/Hot Water approx 7 inches from tip of spout to tail of handle by approx 7.5 inches in height, also stamped to hold 2 pints (not tested).
