Description: An adorable pair of sand paintings from the late 1970’s, entitled “Summer Breeze”. Signed by the artist, Marie Billie, from Sheep Springs / Tohatchi New Mexico (on the Navajo Reservation). These were purchased by my grandparents on a trip through the Southwest in 1978 or 1979. They were beautifully framed when they returned home in Orange County CA. Coincidentally, I moved to the Southwest several years ago, and inherited these paintings from them. They had always hung in “the girls’ room” at my grandparents home. They are in excellent condition, and always in a smoke free home.
