Yury Iosifovich Galetsky Russian American artist and poet Yuri Galetsky (b. 1944). Born in Yalta, Galetsky studied in Leningrad in the 1960s and exhibited in Russia at the Palace of Culture and with Gaza Nevsky (Non-Conformists artists group) and at a number of illegal "apartment" exhibitions. In the 1970s and 1980s, exiled to the U.S., he exhibited in New York before returning to Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union. Currently, he regularly exhibits at galleries in St. Petersburg.
