Description: This excellent quality vintage wine cooler which is made of silver plate is by top French silversmith Ercuis, marked to the base with their maker's marks and has a beautiful stylish design. This stylish Champagne cooler is a good heavy weight, has two ribbed shell design side handles and has an unusual fluted design to the top edge. Ercuis are a top French silversmith who made silver plated barware to use onboard the prestigious liner SS Normandie in it's first class dining room and bar in the 1930's. Other clients of theirs include major hotels on the Cote d'Azur and Paris, airlines and the Orient Express.
