Description: Vintage St. Nick's Animals, Ausable Chasm, N.Y.. This Pennant is from the late 1950's. The measurement is 5.5" x 17" long. The color is Purple. St. Nick's Animals, also known as Home of 1,000 Animals, was a theme park with a location in Ausable Chasm, New York in the 1950s. The park was originally established in 1920 as Sterling's Alaskan Silver Fox and Game Farm, and featured a variety of animals including llamas, mountain goats, monkeys, minks, foxes, deer, and bears. The park was briefly known as St. Nick's Animals in the early 1950s, but the name was quickly changed after legal action from a nearby theme park called "Santa's Workshop". The park eventually settled on the name "1,000 Animals". The Ausable Chasm location is now mostly gone, with only a few foundations remaining. The Lake Placid location went out of business in the early 1980s and was later converted into a garden center. This is an extremely rare pennant and comes from a smoke free home.
