Description: Offering this Vintage or Antique standing Stone Happy Smiling Buddha Statue 8” I believe it is made of a stone material, but I can’t say what kind, but it is fairly heavy. The statue is preowned and looks quite old, but I am not certain of its exact age or history. Found in an Estate collection. It is preowned but still in solid shape, with no breakage or damage, other than a few small scuffed areas, a few minor chips on the bottom edges of the base, and some greenish tinge to the matte finish from age and wear. There are small holes all the way around the circular base, which may possibly be meant to hold incense sticks, but could be simply ornamental. There is an inscription on the statue’s back in Chinese characters and marked China. It measures about 8” tall, about 5” wide, and about 4” deep. This is a classic style standing buddha figure and great for any collection of buddhas or religious figures The photos provide the best description, so please view them all (and use the zoom for the best assessment of overall appearance and condition).
