Description: This 71/2" female doll's folk costume is from the Luggude parish or Harad in the province of Skane. Her apron is an authentic pattern from this region. This sort of costume is from the 18th to 19th centuries.These dolls are made with a wire frame, around which a foam material is wrapped for stuffing. The many details, as a walking stick, violins and bows, wooden shoes and the sewn cloth parts are all hand made. Her head band is typically worn by girl's or young unmarried women. This artist was very popular internationally from the 1950's to about the 1990's, but the dolls are still being sought after by numerous collectors.
