Vintage Technicolor "Fire Sky" Coastal Seascape SIGNED Sunset Painting FRAMED

Description: This beautiful seascape / wetlands painting features three white seabirds (white herons or snowy egrets) serenely standing in the shallow waters of the ocean inlet or bay at sunset. The sun is a huge orange ball descending behind a lush distant shore. The sky is illuminated with a spectrum of vibrant yellow, gold, blue, green, red, pink and coral shades and beautifully reflected on the water. It reminds me of the fabulous historic Florida Highwaymen "fire sky" paintings. I don't know anything about the artist, "Dot" or the work. However, there is an inscription written with a ball point pen in the edge of the frame on the back of the picture that says, "Present from Dot Howey approx 2-'97" which indicates the painting is around 27 years old. The painting was purchased at an estate sale in central Florida, so this is likely a Florida coastal sunset seascape. The piece measures 25 3/8" in width and is about 21 1/4" in height, landscape orientation and a nice medium-large size. It is mounted in a wood frame that has been painted with black lacquer and has an antiqued metallic silver inner rim. The painting is far more striking in person than the photos show - it is gorgeous! The (canvas) picture itself is in excellent condition, with no visible stains, tears, or holes. Colors are vibrant The frame has normal vintage wear with minor scratches and scuffs, but nothing highly visible (see photos). The canvas is securely mounted in the frame. The hanging bracket and wire are secure and sturdy. Please see photos for more details.
