Description: vintage walters axe Hudson Bay style. This axe has black tape on the handle .looks like the end was in danger of splitting. The other handle end looks ok,but you can see it has seen a lot of work. I think it’s the original handle. The blade is in great shape with some surface rust& some scratches.Walters were well know for having great steel. This axe is a smaller size at2’ long & 2.5 Lbs. With the handle This axe is still ready to work. This axe is similar to the Hudson Bay Style . Walters was made in Canada. & had a location in NY. Only a few miles from me. Nice vintage axe .
