The black is just a primer coat, you can see the manufacturing lines on the tank, it will need finished out for smoothness before painting. Inside has some minor surface rust from age. I would recommend washing it out before use. Overall tank is roughly 9-1/4" wide at widest point. Heavy steel tank. Be sure it is right for you before you bid or buy.
