Description: Unbelievable purse despite the damage! The goldtone Whiting & Davis purses of this style are rare. This Vintage Whiting & Davis Goldtone Subtle Pattern Deco Nouveau Mesh Purse is VERY Damaged (see photos). The aspects of the purse where it attaches to the frame at the hinge have large areas where it is not attached/has damage and it looks "unzipped". There are places on the outside where the metal tones have rubbed away and made the pattern difficult to observe. The damaged hinge of the frame does not allow it to close perfectly, and it is very off kilter. I make every attempt to describe and photograph items very carefully. Collectors with a careful eye may note aspects of my items with which I am not familiar. Vintage items typically show wear, and some items have damage due to age, misuse, or improper storage.
