It had been used very little during its service life but needed new paint, so I completely disassembled it, stripped the painted parts to bare metal and primed and painted it with multiple coats of rust resistant paint in a hammered deep green color. All parts were cleaned and the vise was reassembled. The date on the keyway is 4-78. This vise operates flawlessly.
