Description: Vintage Wood Clarinet G. Marquet & C SelmerParis #43297 new around 1960 w/case #276579315833my parents bought this for me in 1960 and I used it only in Junior High School Band. Been in my possession ever since then just forgot I had it. Time for it to go to someone who appreciates it and restore it to its original beauty. That is all the details i know about it but when I listed it earlier an expert sent me the following notes about what he says it is. I had thought it was new when purchased because remembering its perfect condition at that time but have been corrected that it is a very old clarinet and it had to be a used unit when purchased by my parents. Since I am not the expert I can guarantee no authenticity about it but this person seems to have the history of it dialed in perfectly. Sold as is. No returns accepted. as a clarinet historian and antique clarinet collector, I believe this is not the clarinet you recall from your youth unless it was purchased used, as Fillmore Music House was sold to Carl Fisher in 1952, when they changed their name. This clarinet was definitely made between 1917-1928, based upon key work (flat springs for RH pinky trills, no front Ab adjustment screw, single post for lower joint trills, "LP" (low pitch) stamp, thumbrest design, etc. This appears to be a marvelous 100 year old clarinet, and may be a Selmer Stencil.
