Description: This is a beautiful handmade purse that is made from bamboo. The craftsman is amazing. It measures 7 5/8 by 5 3/8 without including the handles. With the handles it measures 7 inches with the handles. The purse is very sturdy and it has an interesting lock closure that appears to be brass, as well as what appears to be brass hinges in the back. The handles are wrapped with a lighter color bamboo. I believe the entire purse is made of bamboo. There is a nice patina to this purse. I am not sure how old it is, but I have had it for about 25 + years. The attention to detail is amazing. The purse is in very good condition. There is a small amount of “rust” inside of the screws on the clasp and on the clasp itself. It really doesn’t take away from the beauty of the purse and is really just normal aging. At the top of the purse, the bamboo wrap that surrounds the purse has a slight “flaw” in the actual bamboo. It is not a scratch, it is part of the natural bamboo but I wanted to mention it. On the bottom of the purse there is a black line that appears to have been made during the assembly of the purse. Possibly a mark used for measurement. You can see it in the pictures. For it’s age, it looks amazingly beautiful.
